Presenting external data sources using SharePoint Business Data Catalogue (BDC) and SQL Reporting Services. 

 As SharePoint Intranets mature and expand within organisations, there is a natural requirement to bring more information within it's sphere. Executives require easy access to Financial forecasting data, Sales staff to CRM information and Power Users to web applications, all these however need to be shown within the familiar Intranet environment. To ease this, SharePoint provides two integration technologies, the Business Data Catalogue (BDC) and Reporting Services.
