When coverin= g Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), it's common to focus on the inherent machine-to-machine nature of the technology, but some of the most striking business value breakthroughs from standards-based computing take place when people are factored into the equation. This presentation will explore the business value in exposing SOA to the end users, along with design considerations necessary when doing so. It will further drill into Office Business Application (OBA) techniques for doing so, particularly those avai= lable with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007.

Jack was the= key architect of the Victorian Government’s Chipskil= ls project, which attracted funding of $7.2million for microelectronics educat= ion and research. Jack was the chief investigator of the ARC-funded (linkage) STALON project with Semitech Innovations Over t= he years, Jack has attracted and/or partnered in research, education and infrastructure grants totally over $10million from ARC, State Government, industry and research organisations
Prof. Singh = is a board/advisory committee member on number of R&D o= rganisations, including, Australian Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association (AEEMA), Australian Microelectronic Network (AMN), International Network of Engineering Education and Research (iNEER), Mic= ro and Nanotechnology Commercialization Education Foundation (MANCEF), Melbourne Centre for Nanofabrication (NCRIS project), National Panel on Nano-Engineering (Engineers Australia), ARC Communica= tions Research Network (ACoRN), Australian Nanotechno= logy Network (ANN), the National Networked Teletest Facility for Integrated Systems (NNTTF) etc.
He is an ext= ernal examiner/advisor of the University Malaysia Perlis. Prof. Singh is a review= er of a large number of conferences and journals and also a reviewer/assessor = of the Australian Research Council’s Discovery and Linkage Grants. He has been a keynote/invited speaker at a large number of international conferenc= es and seminars and has established research and education collaboration/allia= nce with a number of universities, research organisations<= /span> and companies involved in micro/nanotechnologies and wireless technologies = in Europe, USA, Asia and Australia.
Currently Pr= ofessor Singh is the Director of the Centre for Technology Infusion and Research Professor at La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia. Over the years, a number of research students have finished their PhD degree under his supervision. His research interests are in wireless design, smart sensors, intelligent RFID, PLC and embedded technologies.
